From May to December 2021 We invite you to join us in this new era of virtual learning in a digital world and save the date for the Canada Health Infoway 2021 Virtual Partnership Series and Partnership Conference. If there’s one skill we have all honed over the last year, it is resilience. It’s not just about embracing our present reality, it is about leveraging it to create new methods of learning, and to bring the impossible into reach. That is what we have done with Canada Health Infoway’s Virtual Partnership Series and Conference. We launch on May 18 with a range of hour and half long sessions over the next six months. This class will add on to the skills learned in Canva Level 1. We will review some basic branding and graphic design principles, as well as complete a hands-on Canva activity from scratch. Amy will show you how to add elements like shapes and arrows to your designs as well as some photo effects. She will also explain 3 new graphic design principles: symmetry, balance and image resolution. Join us for our eighth Volta Cohort Pitch Competition will be taking place on May 19 at 5:30pm (AST). What is Volta Cohort? Volta Cohort is designed to help early stage, high calibre Atlantic Canadian startups attract and secure venture capital. The program provides mentorship, resources and investments of $25,000 for up to five companies through a microfund co-founded by Volta, BDC Capital, Innovacorp and the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. How are companies selected for the Volta Cohort Program? Every six months, Volta hosts a Cohort Pitch Event to determine who will be accepted into the program, and only those chosen through the application process are eligible. High potential applicants will pitch their business at the Volta Cohort Event. Up to five companies will be awarded investment funds of $25,000 at each event. What happens at the Volta Cohort Pitch Event? Volta Cohort Pitch Events are structured similarly to a pitch competition, where companies go on stage for three minutes to pitch their business idea.
