  • The number of people employed declined in July by 6,400 jobs.
  • Full-time jobs increased alongside fewer part-time.
  • The unemployment rate increased slightly in July to 5.5%, reaching its highest point since January 2022.
  • The goods-producing sector lost jobs in July (-27,500), while the services-producing sector saw growth of 21,200 jobs.

  • Employment grew at a strong pace in July, up from the prior month by 6,000 jobs.

  • The goods-producing sector lost jobs in July (-200), while the services-producing sector saw growth of 6,200 jobs.
