- More people were working in February, with the addition of 21,800 jobs, making it the sixth consecutive monthly gain.
- Full time jobs increased alongside fewer part time.
- The rate of unemployment saw no change from last month, remaining at 5.0%.
- The goods producing sector added jobs (+17,500), while the services producing sector saw growth of 4,200 jobs.

Atlantic Canada
- Employment grew at a strong pace in February, up from the prior month by 5,900 jobs, making it the seventh consecutive monthly gain.
- The growth occurred in both full time and part time positions.
- The unemployment rate fell in the month to 6.9%, reaching its lowest point since the survey began in 1976.
- The goods producing sector added jobs (+4,100), while the services producing sector saw growth of 1,700 jobs.
