IdentityNORTH VIRTUAL Annual Summit – 2020

With the arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world we knew began changing at lightning speed. Each of us, our families, businesses, our governments were all forced to alter our “standard operating procedures,” and any sense of priorities and normal routines were paused or painfully abandoned. However, amidst the hardships, upheaval and uncertainty, there is an opportunity. Canada must take pragmatic steps to build foundations for our lives that will leave us stronger, and more prepared for the future. Reducing our dependence on in-person transactions and physical signatures is a logical step forward. Digital ID and authentication is key. If we reflect on the transactions that have ground to a halt or experienced unacceptable friction over the last two months, it’s easy to see that we need to work and think differently if we are to capture the benefits of a digital world. We need to be able to share medical records and test results digitally, securely and privately to only the trusted recipients. We need to be able to digitally sign contracts, deeds, and wills with a trusted standard that we all recognize. We need to be able to trust the identity of our medical equipment suppliers or contract […]

The Four P’s of Winning Organizations

The Secret Sauce Ever look at a competitor or similar organization and wonder what their secret sauce is? If you could peek behind the curtains of these winning organizations, you’d find some consistencies. Their success didn’t occur by happenstance, it’s a result of a finely tuned Operational Management System at their organization’s core. In our work as consultants, we’ve spoken to countless smart, strategic-thinking leaders who have expressed that they are spending too much time working IN the business and not enough time working ON the business. The Four P's Every organization has an Operational Management System but to achieve optimal performance, this system must be centred around the integration of the four P's: Purpose, People, Process, and Problem Identification/Solving. Think of these as ingredients in your recipe for success. If you’re missing any one of these key ingredients, things are not going to turn out as you’d hoped. If you’re ready to learn what the secret sauce is for success, tune in to Barrington OPS’s next webinar on Wednesday, June 17th at 12:00pm (AST), where we’ll be talking about the Four P's of Winning Organizations.
