Accessing International Talent & Immigration Resources in 2021

Business Support Series The Business Support Webinar Series will explore timely topics with  industry experts to provide key insights and answers on the best ways to succeed as a business.  Hosted by the Halifax Chamber of Commerce, this series will feature a wide range of topics on how to survive and thrive. We invite you to join us for this special Business Support Series, where you will hear from Mary-Jo McKay from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration and Population Growth and Al Tek from Halifax Partnership’s Labour Market Team. There will be an overview of the various provincial immigration streams for accessing international talent for your company, with a focus on the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Pilot (AIP). Online Building Intercultural Competence Workshop

As Nova Scotia becomes more culturally diverse, we all need to learn how to welcome and work with immigrants and build a better community together. Join us for this free, interactive workshop open to organizations, service providers, educators, and community volunteers. We also deliver workshops tailored to individual organizations – please inquire if interested! In this full-day workshop, you will: - Increase your understanding of settlement and integration issues - Explore practical ways to welcome and support new immigrants - Develop intercultural relationship-building skills for working with new immigrants Registering for and attending workshops: - Workshops will take place twice monthly, either online or in person. When you register, please indicate which date you would like to attend. Transforming the Atlantic Canada Public Sector – Powered by Tech-Savvy Women
