The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is working hard to provide our members with resources, information and value. We are pleased to offer a round of FREE online training programs to help grow your business in collaboration with the Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration. This program is offered to businesses, managers, and employees at zero cost as a benefit of your membership. TRAINING OVERVIEW: Website Design training is a 10 week program that will start on, Tuesday, January 23, 2024 and take place once per week every TUESDAY from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. These training sessions are in high demand with our members. Please consider your schedule beforehand and only register if you are 100% committed to fully participating in this training. Welcome to the Acadia Institute for Data Analytics - Deep Learning Workshop! This workshop will provide a gentle hands-on introduction to developing predictive models using deep learning artificial neural networks. We will provide a high-level overview of the key elements of neural networks and deep learning, and recent advances that allow deep networks to solve challenging problems such as object recognition in images (e.g. classification of animal or letter) and sequence prediction (e.g. next word in a sentence, like Google auto-complete). Participants will get to build their own deep models using prepared software (Keras and Tensorflow) working in the browser. All code needed will be provided, however programming experience is prerequisite. You will need a laptop or desktop with the latest version of the Chrome browser, and a Google account for using Google Drive. Objectives: To provide a hands-on workshop (using your own laptop) that is fun and informative for participants. Covers 500-foot fundamentals of neural networks and deep learning (MLP, CNN, LSTM) using popular python programming libraries.
