    The Halifax Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer a round of FREE online training programs to help grow your business in collaboration with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour, Skills, and Immigration. These training sessions are in high demand. Please only register if you are 100% committed to fully participating in this training. This is a 40 hour course and you will be required to participate in 80% of the sessions in order to receive the certificate. Meet your presenter.. Stewart is a Partner in the Halifax office. Stewart brings over 15 years of experience in commercial litigation with a focus on contractual, shareholder, trade-mark, copyright, and patent litigation, as well as medical defence litigation, and professional regulation. Stewart’s IP practice includes trade-mark application and prosecution, trade-mark opposition practice, trade-mark infringement opinions and litigation, patentability opinions, patent infringement opinions and litigation, and domain name disputes. Stewart obtained his Bachelor of Science in physics from St. Francis Xavier University and his Master of Science in physics from the University of Guelph. Stewart worked in radiology imaging software before obtaining his law degree from Dalhousie University in 2003. Stewart practiced IP litigation in Toronto and was in-house IP counsel at Ballard Power Systems in Vancouver, before returning home to join Cox & Palmer in 2010.     PMI – ACP Certification

    January 14 – February 20, 2025 Valued at $2,999 +HST, FREE for eligible DNS members Hosted by Brenda Fay, BrenDaniel Productions This program is directed to prepare participants for PMI’s Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) exam. Along the way, participants discuss and review aspects of Agile delivery extensively. With this knowledge, individuals are better able to work with Agile projects and product delivery for their organizations. This program includes 24 hours total of training which includes twelve 2-hour online classes. Participants have email access to the facilitator during and after the program, so they may discuss any Agile topics in preparation for the exam. Participants are required to attend at least 90% of the total 24 hours to get credit for the educational hours as required by PMI for the certification.
