About this Event

Where: Zoom ( A link will be sent to you with your registration confirmation email)

Description:

Having a strong mentor at any stage of your career can change your entire trajectory, and empower you to reach key milestones more quickly and efficiently. From introductions to key players or potential investors, and receiving helpful advice, to learning from their experiences, mentors are an undeniable asset to all individuals in the workforce, and can be particularly advantageous for women working in or trying to grow their careers in tech.

The flip side is that being a mentor to an up-and-coming entrepreneur or business professional provides experienced individuals the opportunity to share their wisdom, impart knowledge they wish they had at that stage, and nurture the growth and success of the next generation.

But the prospect of finding a mentor or mentee can prove challenging; there’s the building and nurturing of that relationship in a way that is both meaningful and organic to both parties that can be difficult with busy schedules and finding the right fit in the other person.

This workshop on September 22, will be facilitated by esteemed-author, entrepreneur and blogger, Tash Jefferies. She will teach you how to find a mentor or mentee, pinpoint the questions you want answered, advice you’d like to give or receive, and help you identify what you hope to gain from the mentor-mentee relationship, and so much more.

Join us on Tuesday, September 22 from 4:00pm to 5:30pm (ADT) for this month’s Women Taking over the World with Tech (WTWT) session on mentorship, featuring Tash Jefferies.

Presenter:

Tash Jefferies, Founder of Diversa.work , a company building AI-based technology with the aim of increasing diversity of hires within global tech startups. She was also an Entrepreneur in Residence with 500startups.com in Saudi Arabia in 2019, whom she continues to mentor tech startups with.

Her additional titles include Best-Selling Author, Top 50 Health Blogger according to Huffington Post, TEDx Speaker, TV Show Producer, Writer, and Host (Cable and Online), and Top-Rated Udemy Instructor. Tash is a native Nova Scotian, born and raised from Uniacke Square in the North End of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
