Interested in learning more about our Get into IT Program? We invite you to join us for one of our information sessions!
Applications for the program will be opening on February 15th, 2022 for learners who are interested in pursuing an entry-level career as an IT Support Specialist or as a Cybersecurity Analyst.
Designed to support those who have traditionally faced barriers entering Nova Scotia’s tech sector, Get Into IT is a no cost program for training and upskilling Indigenous Persons, Black Nova Scotians, persons of African Descent, racially visible individuals, persons with disabilities, immigrants, and women. Participants must be 18+, unemployed or underemployed*, have a high school diploma, GED certificate or a referral from a community organization, be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and are a Nova Scotia resident.
Professional development, industry networking opportunities, and in-course support will also be offered as part of this 25-week technical skills training program. A major objective is to ensure that by the end of this course, graduates find meaningful job opportunities that will allow them to become active members of the province’s tech sector, and contribute to a diverse and innovative industry.
Join us for an Information Session followed-up with a Q&A period. All are welcome to attend!
