Participants will gain knowledge in information security that will increase their ability to successfully implement and manage cybersecurity programs in any organization or government entity. The goal of this content is to provide them with the core knowledge necessary to be a successful cybersecurity professional. This training course will help them review and refresh their information security knowledge in pursuit of the CISSP exam.
ISC2, which administers CISSP certification, created the Body of Knowledge (CBK), which holds nearly all the information a seasoned cybersecurity professional should know. The CBK lists eight primary domains, including asset security and software development security.
With a combination of asynchronous learning material and structure accessed through the University of Waterloo and live learning sessions through Cyber Reflect, participants will gain 180 days of access to official CISSP material and take part in a 10-week, 30-hour live training curriculum that will prep professionals for their CISSP certification.

Digital Nova Scotia will facilitate the funding process based on the information provided in your application. Employees must be receiving full-time compensation while in training to be eligible for WIPSI funding. This may include employees who are full-time seasonal.

January 20 - March 23, 2027. The course is delivered virtually. It combines live learning sessions through Cyber Reflect with self-paced official CISSP material accessed through the University of Waterloo.
$406 + HST per person for eligible Digital Nova Scotia members. The full course value is $1,624 + HST. The member price already includes up to 75% funding through Nova Scotia's Workplace Innovation and Productivity Skills Incentive (WIPSI).
Yes. Your organization needs to be a paid Digital Nova Scotia member before the course starts. Membership options are at digitalnovascotia.com/memberships.
Yes. There is no limit on how many people a business can register, and you can send people to different courses at the same time.
Each participant needs to attend at least 60 percent of the classes and submit all required documents.
