We are thrilled to present our first students of the month for the current cohort from the Skills for Hire Atlantic’s web development program! So far participants have displayed a tireless work ethic and tremendous attitudes leaving us extremely excited for the remainder of the program.
Our first web development student of the month is Andrii Yatsiuk. After moving to Canada from Ukraine 3 years ago, Andrii decided to work towards his dream job of becoming a web developer. A former senior firefighter, Andrii has always had a passion for tech which made the Skills for Hire Atlantic program a great fit for Andrii and his aspirations of career change. Andrii loves to find solutions to complex problems and says that he realizes the importance of always being open to learning in order to improve his skill set.
“This course is opening to me a beautiful web programming world.”
When asked about the highlights of the course so far, Andrii mentioned the knowledged he’s gained so far and the consistency of the program:
“With the help of Skills for Hire web dev course I’m learning new things and most importantly, it’s consistent.”

Our second highlighted web development student of the month is Stephanie Doull. With a background working as a photographer and chef, Stephanie is now looking to grow a career in the cyber/digital world. Being an artist at heart and with an existing interest in coding, Stephanie knew the Skills for Hire Atlantic program would be a great fit.
“Being able to build and learn skills I have admired and loved. This program has given me the opportunity to learn with others while still working!”
When asked what she has been enjoying about the web development course so far, Stephanie shared “building a website in html5 as we created a page from scratch and ended with a fully functional website, multiple links and pages even images!”

Notre premier étudiant du mois en développement web est Andrii Yatsiuk. Après avoir quitté l’Ukraine pour s’installer au Canada il y a trois ans, Andrii a décidé de travailler pour réaliser son rêve de devenir développeur Web. Ancien pompier chevronné, Andrii a toujours eu une passion pour la technologie, ce qui fait que le programme Élevez vos compétences Atlantique convient parfaitement à Andrii et à son évolution. Andrii aime trouver des solutions à des problèmes complexes et il réalise l’importance de toujours être ouvert à l’apprentissage afin d’améliorer ses compétences.

Lorsqu’on lui a demandé quels étaient les points forts du cours jusqu’à présent, Andrii a mentionné les connaissances qu’il a acquises jusqu’à présent et la cohérence du programme :
« Avec l’aide du cours de développement web de Élevez vos compétences, j’apprends de nouvelles choses et surtout, c’est cohérent. »

Notre deuxième étudiante du mois en développement web est Stephanie Doull. Ancienne photographe et chef cuisinière, Stephanie cherche à faire carrière dans le monde cybernétique et numérique. Artiste dans l’âme et déjà intéressée par le codage, Stephanie savait que le programme Élevez vos compétences Atlantique lui conviendrait parfaitement.
« Pouvoir construire et apprendre des compétences que j’ai admirées et aimées. Ce programme m’a donné l’opportunité d’apprendre avec d’autres personnes tout en travaillant ! »
Lorsqu’on lui a demandé ce qu’elle avait apprécié dans le cours de développement web jusqu’à présent, Stephanie a répondu : « construire un site web en html5, car nous avons créé une page à partir de rien et nous avons terminé avec un site web entièrement fonctionnel, de multiples liens et pages, même des images ! ».
