Position Overview:

Compugen is seeking a Performance & Automated Test Specialist for a 1 year contract working remotely. Candidate must currently reside within Canadaand available to work Central Time. 

Key Responsibilities:

The Performance & Automated Test Specialist is responsible for performance test planning, automated test scripting, performance and load test execution and performance test reporting.

  • Provide performance testing task estimates.
  • Gather performance testing requirements (understand realistic system load, identify bottlenecks, etc.) and benchmarks.
  • Write and maintain performance test plans.
  • Create and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Design, create and maintain load generation infrastructure.
  • Identify test data requirements and create required test data/data creation scripts.
  • Design, execute and maintain performance and load tests for various performance test types (baseline/shakeout test, load test, capacity test, endurance test, etc.)
  • Analyze performance test results and work with development and technical teams to pinpoint problem quires, functions, etc.
  • Create status reports, test run analysis reports and final test phase reports.
  • Resolve or escalate scripting or test execution issues.
  • Communicate and obtain the approval of test results.
  • Transition relevant test artifacts (documents, test data, test cases, test beds, test environments, test results, ID’s, and permissions, etc.) to ensure data and environmental cleanup, future use, maintenance, or obsolescence.
  • Occasional overtime when project deadlines require it. There are times when performance tests need to be run outside of regular business hours.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A degree in computer science, software engineering or related discipline or an equivalent mix of education and experience
  • Formal testing training
  • SAP automated testing experience
  • OpenText automated testing exprience
  • OpenText ALM (HPQC) experience
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated test scripts and test frameworks
  • Experience creating, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts using OpenText Functional Testing/UFT/QTP
  • Experience planning, designing, creating, executing, and maintaining performance tests using OpenText Performance Engineering/LoadRunner (VuGen, Analysis, Controller, Load Generator)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with a team as well as independently to complete deliverables within established time-lines
  •  Able to function within a high level of activity (working with deadlines on several concurrent initiatives)
  • Experience with SDLC best practices

Desired:

  • Certified Software Test Automation Specialist (CSTAS) based on Software Test Automation Body of Knowledge (STABOK)
  • Certified Software Test Automation Architect (CSTAA) based on Software Test Automation Body of Knowledge (STABOK)
  • Certified at ISTQB/ISEB Foundation Level, preferably advanced Level.
  • OpenText LoadRunner Professional (LRP) Certified Developer
  • OpenText Unified Functional Testing Certified Developer
