Business Process Transformation Lead (AI & Automation)
Job description
We have partnered with a Canadian-based marketing agency that is part of an independent Network of Agencies strategically located across the world to provide global reach and capabilities.
As a senior individual contributor within the department, you will be responsible for leading complex, high-impact process transformation initiatives. From identifying opportunities through to solution design, rapid validation, and implementation planning, you will work closely with stakeholders to shape and deliver transformation outcomes that combine process excellence with modern technology, including AI and automation.
You will act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, using strong communication and influencing skills to diagnose business problems, challenge existing approaches, and design forward-looking, technology-enabled solutions. A key aspect of the role is defining how AI and automation can be applied to improve processes and supporting the organization in adopting these solutions effectively.
You will take a pragmatic, outcome-focused approach, leveraging both traditional process improvement methodologies and emerging technologies to accelerate delivery and drive measurable impact. You will thrive in a matrix environment, working across multiple teams and levels, often operating with a high degree of autonomy.
You will also act as an internal capability leader, supporting BPT Specialists in applying AI, automation, and digital tools, and connecting closely with the organization’s AI Center of Excellence to bring new capabilities, tools, and best practices into the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex, cross-functional transformation initiatives from problem definition through to solution design and implementation approach
- Partner with stakeholders to define problems, shape solution options, and recommend the most effective, value-driven approach
- Identify and apply AI, automation, and workflow technologies to improve process efficiency and scalability
- Design end-to-end, technology-enabled solutions that integrate process, data, and tooling
- Define clear implementation approaches, including options, trade-offs, and recommended delivery models
- Build and evolve internal tools, templates, and approaches to improve BPT delivery and consistency
- Act as a key interface with the AI Center of Excellence to align on standards, tools, and innovation
- Coach and support BPT Specialists in applying AI and digital tools to strengthen solution design and delivery
- Conduct process assessments and analysis to identify opportunities, quantify impact, and define success measures
- Produce high-quality outputs including process designs, solution recommendations, and implementation roadmaps
- Support BPT Leadership on the most complex transformation challenges as required
Qualifications
- Proven experience delivering complex transformation, process improvement, and change initiatives in a cross-functional environment
- Strong experience applying AI, automation, or digital technologies to process improvement challenges
- Demonstrated ability to design technology-enabled solutions and translate business problems into practical, implementable approaches
- Experience defining solution options and implementation strategies (not just executing delivery)
- Solid understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC) and ability to apply them pragmatically
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and simplify complex, ambiguous problems
- Ability to operate independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrix environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to challenge thinking and guide decision-making
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate recommendations and trade-offs
- Passion for innovation and continuous learning, particularly in AI and emerging technologies
- Experience working with technology teams, product teams, or centers of excellence is advantageous
