About this event When: Wednesday, August 17, 2022from 12:00pm to 2:00pm ADT Where: Virtual Via Zoom (you will receive log in details at 9:00am on Wednesday, August 17, 2022) Description: The Pitch Competition, powered by OKR Financial, is open to Volta Residents, Network Members and anyone from the tech community in Atlantic Canada. The Pitch Competition is an excellent opportunity to practice your three-minute pitch, fine-tune your deck, and get feedback from peers and industry experts. You will gain valuable experience presenting to investors, and potential early adopters. Plus, you never know who may be tuning in to watch! Each competition will have a judging panel, comprised of entrepreneurs and community leaders. Judges will focus on the quality and content of the presentation, not the viability of the business. About Us STEM Connector is a flash mentorship program connecting post-secondary STEM students with industry professionals, researchers, and other students for professional development. We work to provide short-term, meaningful connections with mentors and peers to work on specific skills in your field. STEM Connector is run through the MentorCity online platform, where you can choose your own mentor for short-term mentorship, schedule meeting times, and chat and collaborate with people across the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math spectrum. Our program runs three terms in a year with members able to sign up for one or more terms. STEM Connector fall term starts September 1, but you can join at any time.
