Integrating Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Prediction & Treatment Planning

Artificial intelligence (AI) research is poised to become a transformational force in healthcare, with potential applications being demonstrated across various clinical domains. However, there are currently limited examples of such techniques being successfully deployed into clinical practice. In this lecture, Dr. Jordan Engbers will present the general challenges of bringing AI into medicine, with a special focus on imaging and treatment planning. Jordan will discuss examples of failures and successes, and considerations for implementation in practice through the use of case studies for imaging, diagnosis, clinical prediction, and treatment planning. Training for Today’s Construction Professionals

Understanding the concepts of structural design and systematic design procedures helps architects, construction professionals and builders select appropriate structural systems and building materials for their projects. Applying Data Science in Healthcare

While there is considerable interest in developing data science models in healthcare, its application into clinical practice and healthcare decision-making can be challenging. Code Quest 2021 Competition

Each year, Lockheed Martin hosts Code Quest, an annual computer programming competition where teams of two to three high school students work together to solve problems by using JAVA, Python, VB.net, C#, and/or C++ programming to complete the “quest”. The problem set consists of 20 to 30 challenging problems created by Lockheed Martin engineers and computer programmers. We are encouraging schools around Lockheed Martin locations that hosted the competition in 2019 to compete again in 2021. Code Quest 2019 took place at 25 locations around the world with more than 1,800 students. This spring, Lockheed Martin is launching Code Quest® Academy, a free computer coding and career exposure program for high school students. This helps students of all skill levels grow their coding knowledge through interactive problems and inspires students to pursue technology careers. Students will also be prepared for successful participation in the Code Quest 2021 competition on April 24th. Competition participants are eligible to apply for summer internships with Lockheed Martin. Design Thinking Workshops on Mental Health help for Black Nova Scotians

Mini Design Thinking Workshops on Mental Health help for Black Nova Scotian communities. As we continue to help build our community of future leaders, Business is Jammin’ will be holding a series of mini Design Thinking Workshops focused on solving a problem our community is all too familiar with, access to safe, sustainable and culturally relevant mental health services and supports for Black and African Nova Scotians. Each week you will be joined by experienced facilitators and local (Nova Scotia) mental health professionals who will create a space for you to get inspired, empathize, define and ideate; allowing you and your peers to fundamentally change the way Black youth access and use mental health services designed for them. A series of four 2.5 hour sessions will take place from 9:30AM to 12NOON: Saturday April 24th, 2021 Saturday May 1st, 2021 Saturday May 8th, 2021 Saturday May 15th, 2021 These sessions will be live streamed and participants will be mailed all of the supplies and materials needed to participate and engage!
