The Diversity Employment Network (DEN) has always been about helping organizations build a workforce with a culture on inclusion. Join us on September 15, 2022, as we host our first ever BIPOC Atlantic Job Fair, in partnership with Feed Nova Scotia. As an organization, Feed Nova Scotia is early on in its journey to becoming a fair and equitable employer. To start creating positive social change, Feed Nova Scotia has sought out opportunities, such as this partnership with DEN, to support the development of stronger DEI practices in organizations across the provinces through learning, collaboration, and advocacy. At this full day event attendees will hear from guest speakers on topics related to workplace diversity, equity and inclusion highlighting how diverse teams are stronger teams. The job fair will include employer booths making it easy to showcase opportunities and meet with workforce-ready attendees fostering connections that may lead to hiring. Students showcase their skills and experience, making industry connections that could lead to future job opportunities! Rowe Networking Night is open to employers in all industries and students in all years of the Commerce Co-op, Management, and CRMBA programs. The Bookkeeping Bootcamp

IGNITE Labs Yarmouth 208 Main St, Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

The Bookkeeping Bootcamp will take place on Tuesday afternoons between September 20 to November 22, 2022. Each class is in person. Classes are 4 hours per week (1 - 5pm). The course is 10 weeks long. Classes are held at Ignite Labs in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Participants are expected to attend a minimum of 80% of all sessions. Attendance is limited to 12 participants. Participants must either own a business or be in a management position. The Bookkeeping Bootcamp is a FREE professional development course. The course is supported by Nova Scotia Workplace Education, Yarmouth CBDC and Ignite Labs. The instructor is Julie Walters, owner of Pathfinder Bookkeeping & Tax. Pathfinder’s mission is to: provide knowledge and support to small businesses in rural Atlantic Canada, allowing you to grow and spread wealth.
