Atlantic Food Automation Series – Wine, Beer & Spirits Workshop

On November 24th and 25th, IGNITE will host an Atlantic Food Automation Workshop event to learn more about the Wine, Beer, & Spirits industries. Throughout the Fall of 2021, IGNITE will host the Atlantic Food Automation Program across the pan-atlantic provinces. Each of these workshops will focus on a different food industry, highlighting the automation and digital advancements that are available in Atlantic Canada. Attending this event will give you access to automation firms and digital experts that can help grow your business and reduce the strain of labour shortages. Join us as we learn more about the products and services on the market, hear from organizations about their funding programs and tour automated facilities. This two-day event will consist of virtual and in-person elements, due to COVID-19 restrictions this event will only allow 25 attendees in-person. (Masks will be mandatory at all in-person events.)

Employment Innovation Symposium For Employers & Managers

Holiday Inn Sydney 300 Esplanade, Sydney

Navigate Startup House and the Cape Breton Partnership invite local employers to register for and attend the Employment Innovation Symposium For Employers & Managers, to take place November 25 at the Holiday Inn Sydney from 9 am – 12:30 pm. The Symposium will feature presentations and discussion on a number of topics focused on approaches to finding, inspiring, and keeping the employees that workplaces need to be successful in a post COVID-19 economy. The event will be highlighted with a keynote presentation by author, speaker, seminar leader and corporate trainer Eddie LeMoine. Through this keynote presentation and more, event attendees will learn how to apply innovation to their human resource practices as they navigate labour shortages and other challenges. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in interactive breakout sessions with industry professionals who will lead discussions on navigating the immigration process for employers, human resources best practices (attraction, retention, remote working), cultural context and considerations for diverse employees, and more.

DASC is a non-profit social enterprise providing opportunities for adults with an intellectual disability. In addition to vocational day programs, we run businesses from our facility in Burnside. State of the art boardroom rentals, packaging and assembly, fulfillment, mailing services, printing and copying, and promotional button manufacturing are just a few of our services. All of the money from our businesses goes to support the Being, Belonging and Becoming of adults with intellectual disabilities.
