SOLVE REAL-WORLD CHALLENGES ON EARTH & IN SPACE The NASA Space Apps Challenge, an innovative and public engagement initiative under NASA’s Science Mission Directorate, is coming to Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2024. This global event aims to promote transparency, participation, and collaboration by making NASA's and its Space Agency Partners' data openly available to the public. The NASA Space Apps Challenge consists of two programs: the NASA International Space Apps Challenge and the NASA Space Apps Collective. Both programs encourage creative solutions to real-world problems using the extensive data provided by NASA. Funded by NASA's Earth Science Division through a contract with Booz Allen Hamilton, Mindgrub, and SecondMuse, the event is supported by the NASA Space Apps Global Organizing (GO) Team.
