In fact, despite considerable dialogue, adoption of Cloud remains at less than 10 per cent! TECHNATION put forward recommendations in 2015 and then again in 2019 calling on Government to accelerate Cloud adoption, prioritize in-house Cloud education and training, adopt a different operating model, and more. Unfortunately, Government remains hesitant to use leading-edge tech like Intelligent Automation to accelerate progress on delivering broader public policy objectives for Canada. That’s not to say that nothing was done; the Government of Canada did make some critical investments in digital government, which enabled it to respond quickly to citizens’ needs.
