About This Event

It’s been a long time since we’ve been able to connect with the community in person, and following the start of phase 5, we would like to plan a fun, informal event to catch up with the community and ease back into in-person meetups. We recognize that not all of our members are located in Halifax, and also that people may prefer to attend the event virtually. To accommodate this, we will be hosting a live stream of the talks via Zoom so everyone can still participate.

This event will be hosted at the Wooden Monkey in Dartmouth with pizza and refreshments provided by Halihax, and our sponsors. Please note: we will be following the Covid-19 protocols outlined by public health.

The Rundown

6:30 pm – Doors Open

Check in, grab a drink and catch up with new and old friends

7:00 pm – Welcome & Social Hour

We’ll do a quick introduction and kick off the evening with some socializing and refreshments

8:00 pm –  Lightning Talks “what was the last thing you broke?”

Hear from our community members as they recount the last thing they broke and how they were able to fix it. Database lost in production? Large scale bug deployed? Blew a budget? Plenty can go wrong!

9:00 pm – Closing remarks

We’ll round out the talks with some remarks from the team, and leave space for people to mingle.
