Under PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, the Canadian law relating to data privacy), Canadian organizations are regulated on how they are to collect, use, and disclose personal information in the course of commercial business. For tech companies and tech based startups, it is important to gain an understanding of the law, consent requirements and more.
This free, hour-long webinar with representatives from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, will introduce PIPEDA’s consent requirement, which is an essential element of Canadian private sector privacy legislation. Attendees will receive practical and actionable guidance regarding what organisations should do to ensure they obtain meaningful consent.
It will be followed by Q and A.
