Canada

  • Employment grew at a strong pace in November, up from the prior month by 153,700 jobs, making it the sixth consecutive monthly gain.
  • The growth occurred in both full-time and part-time positions.
  • The rate of unemployment fell sharply, going from 6.7% to 6.0%, reaching its lowest point since February 2020.
  • The goods-producing sector added jobs (+26,400), while the services-producing sector saw growth of 127,200 jobs.

  • Full-time jobs increased alongside fewer part-time.
  • The rate of unemployment fell sharply, going from 9.7% to 8.7%, reaching its lowest point since
