Join Volta and Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce for an engaging and informative workshop on the Power of Supplier Diversity.
Canada is home to more than 28,000 LGBT+ entrepreneurs. Collectively, they generate $22-billion in economic activity and employ more than 435,000 people – or the population of Halifax. In other words, LGBT+ business is big business.
When these innovative entrepreneurs are connected with corporations looking to advance corporate social responsibility by diversifying their supply chains – we are collectively reducing barriers, advancing LGBT+ entrepreneurship, and creating a truly inclusive economy, one connection at a time.
Join Ryan Nearing, Membership and Supplier Diversity Manager with Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce, a national not-for-profit organization representing LGBT+ entrepreneurs, business owners, and allies, for a workshop on the Power of Supplier Diversity.
In this hour-long session, we’ll discuss the state of LGBT+ entrepreneurship in Canada. We’ll learn about supplier diversity – the concept of diverse-owned businesses getting certified as certified suppliers, and corporations internally championing diverse procurement processes.
Lastly, you’ll hear about Canada’s LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce’s work supporting LGBT+ entrepreneurs, business owners, and their allies – including educational programming on the LGBT+ tourism market, support for young entrepreneurs, and international business development opportunities.
