We want to ensure our participants develop valuable skills and gain a solid foundation that will lead to increased confidence and meaningful job opportunities. Digital Nova Scotia is proud to partner with Uvaro to offer participants a way to contribute to a thriving ICT sector in the Atlantic Provinces.

This program is designed for beginners and does not require any official prerequisites, however, computer literacy and a general knowledge of tech components are required to succeed. Participants should be prepared to dedicate an estimated average of 4 hours of instruction time per week. Furthermore, you will need to invest an additional 2-4 hours of time per week to fully understand the materials as well as complete the assignments. 

Please note that access to a computer and a stable internet connection are required to participate in the Tech Sales Plus program. Ideally, participants should have used web conferencing software previously and are comfortable meeting in an online environment. As this program will run synchronously with an instructor, conversational and written English are also required.

What you'll learn

Tech Sales Foundation Course

Throughout this 12-week course, you will learn about the diverse and growing world of software as a service (SaaS) tech sales, develop your prospecting and discovery toolkit, dig into objection handling and energy management, and spend time honing your communication and persuasion skills. You’ll also spend time getting ready for your job hunt with embedded lessons on topics like resume building, personal branding, and interview preparation. In collaboration with your instructor and classmates, you’ll learn, watch, read, talk, question, and practice everything there is to know about the tech sales industry.

As a member of Uvaro, you will also gain access to other courses, allowing you to learn everything you need to know for a successful career in tech sales. The 4 week Career Search Foundations Course, for example, will teach you the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and techniques you’ll need to begin or continue an organized and strategic career search, such as exploring key topics like personal branding, resume design, job prospecting, and interviewing.

What does it take to graduate from the program?

  • Complete all assignments (11)
  • Attend at least 80% of the classes (10 or more)
  • Participate in the program Slack and engage with the content in the live classes

Upon completion of the program, all Uvaro graduates are given a Uvaro Certificate of Completion. The Tech Sales Plus program team encourages graduates to add this to their professional profiles and/or portfolios (such as LinkedIn).
