This program, aligned with PMI’s 2021 Exam Content Outline and PMBOK 7th Edition, Agile Practice Guide, and Process Groups Practice Guide, focuses on key areas for project success. The course begins with understanding project purpose and success metrics, emphasizing business compliance, value delivery, and organizational change support. It then delves into Project Management Processes per PMBOK standards, providing a solid management framework for project teams.
A critical aspect is managing project teams, emphasizing both management and leadership skills. Topics include conflict resolution, leadership attributes, empowerment, servant leadership, team development, negotiation, collaboration, mentoring, and emotional intelligence.
Upon completion, participants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the Exam Content Outline, gain experience through practice tests, and confidently schedule their PMP certification exam. This comprehensive approach ensures a deep understanding of project management principles, aligning with international standards, and cultivating essential skills for effective project leadership.

Who should take this course?
This program is for senior, practicing, full-time project managers who have demonstrated project management capability and need that final certification to prove their organization’s project management maturity and capability.
After taking this program, participants have covered the material required for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam.
To get the PMP, participants are encouraged to read the selected references and prepare by taking practice tests. The program provides guidance and an action plan for getting their PMP. To qualify for the PMP Certification Examination, participants must have:

- A bachelor’s degree (or global equivalent) and 36 months of project management experience, or
- A Secondary degree (high school diploma, associate degree, or the global equivalent) and 60 months of project management experience, and;
- 35 hours of structured project management training
Course Outline
This 35-hour program contains a lot of information. The program includes five full-day (7 hour) virtual sessions – held weekly from 9 am to 4:30 pm on five consecutive Tuesdays. Weekly sessions allow for time for participants to apply the concepts on the job – a key success factor for successful PMP certification.

- The Project Business Environment: It is important to understand why a project exists and how we measure project success. In this section we emphasize planning and managing business compliance, delivering project value, evaluating the business environment, and supporting organizational change.
- Project Management Processes: The key role of a project manager is to provide a solid management framework in support of the project team. In this section we review the Project Management Processes as defined by the Project Management Body of Knowledge international standard.
- Managing Project Teams: Successful project management requires both management and leadership capability. In this section we emphasize management and leadership attributes including conflict resolution, leadership skills, empowerment, servant leadership, team development, negotiation, collaboration, mentoring, and emotional intelligence.
