Course overview
This is an interactive, online, self-paced course offering you the flexibility to work through the content and activities at your own pace over a 180-day period. The estimated time to complete the course is 40 hours.
Content will be taught using a series of lecture-based videos, audio presentations, interactive exercises, readings, and assessments. In addition to viewing audio and video lectures, you will be asked to work through and complete activities.

Prerequisites
To qualify for this cybersecurity certification, you must pass the exam and have at least five years of cumulative, paid work experience in two or more of the eight domains of the ISC2 CISSP Exam Outline.

If you successfully pass the CISSP exam but don’t yet meet the experience requirements, you can become an Associate of ISC2 while you complete the remaining experience. You still hold the CISSP credential; your status is updated once the experience requirement is met.
Through funding from the Government of Nova Scotia’s One Journey Initiative, 20 full scholarships are available for Atlantic Canadians to complete the CISSP training stream of our LevelSec program.
To be eligible for this scholarship, professionals:
- Must reside in Nova Scotia
- Currently unemployed or underemployed
- Actively looking for a full-time role in IT / tech
