Tourism Digital Assistance Program

We’ve partnered with Tourism Nova Scotia to help connect tourism businesses with digital service providers that can help them develop or enhance effective digital marketing tools. It’s an exciting project that gives our digital community the opportunity to collaborate with the tourism sector in our province.

How the Program Works

Tourism Businesses

Tourism businesses submit a digital assistance request. Tourism Nova Scotia reviews the submissions and forwards approved requests to Digital Nova Scotia. View Application.

Digital Service Providers

Digital service providers submit an Expression of Interest to Digital Nova Scotia that describes the types of services they can provide. Digital Nova Scotia reviews these applications and maintains a list of prequalified service providers and services available. View Application.

The Match

Next we match each tourism business with digital service providers that meet the specific needs of the digital challenge. Criteria for selecting the best match will be based on industry experience, areas of expertise, and the required scope of work. We may also consider the location and availability of the service provider to take on new projects. If multiple service providers are an equally good fit, the tourism business will select which service provider to use.

Digital Service Providers

Description of Capabilities

Approved tourism businesses will be eligible for 100% of the cost of services up to a maximum value of $5,000. These services will be from a qualified digital service provider with expertise in the specific services required by the tourism business. Depending on the needs of each tourism business, the budget may be divided between multiple service providers. When we identify a potential match, you will receive specific details about the project scope and we will ask you to provide a quote for those services.

Example Budget Allocation:

A tourism business requests assistance with updating and marketing their website. Company A is selected to do $1,500 worth of website upgrades, and Company B is selected to develop a marketing plan for $1,000.

Expression of Interest

Digital Service Provider Application Form

We are requesting an Expression of Interest from digital service providers that may be able to complete projects for qualifying tourism businesses under the Tourism Digital Assistance Program. We are accepting applications from any digital service providers located in Nova Scotia, including both members and non-members of Digital Nova Scotia.
