Develop at Ubisoft Mentorship Program, Applications Now Open
Ubisoft has opened applications for the 2025 Develop at Ubisoft mentorship program. The program is designed for current students and recent graduates (within the last two years) who are interested in Game Development and identify as women or nonbinary. The application deadline is October 31st. Applicants can choose to apply to either the Game Design or Programming streams. More information and application details are available [here].
The mentorship program provides participants with one-on-one guidance from Ubisoft developers, hands-on project experience, and opportunities to develop professional skills. It supports individuals from genders historically underrepresented in gaming and STEM and is not tied to any hiring process.
This year’s mentorship opportunities include:
- Programming and Game Design (Mobile)
- Programming, Game Design, and Audio (PC/Console)
From January to May 2026, selected mentees will work on a project based on a given theme, receiving guidance and feedback from Ubisoft mentors throughout the process.
Program Tracks:
- Game Design: Pitch a design concept, outline its impact on player experience, and follow the production journey of a Game Designer while developing a prototype plan.
- Programming: Develop a game using C++ or C# with a freely available tool such as Unity for mobile. Toronto participants will submit a game built entirely in C++ using a provided API.
- Audio: Create original sound design using a DAW or middleware tool such as Wwise, designing and integrating audio for animations, ambiences, and interactive elements.
Key Dates:
- Applications: October 13 – 31 (resume and portfolio required)
- Selection Process: November 3 – 14 (30-minute mentor chat)
- Selected Mentees Announced: November 19
- Training Sessions: November 24 – December 12
- Mentorship Period: January – May 2026
- Virtual Closing Ceremony: May 2026
The Develop at Ubisoft program provides aspiring talent with practical experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute unique perspectives to the gaming industry.
