Ralli Marketing: More than a Marketing Agency

March 17, 2025

In this feature, we talk with Jason Davis, Founder of Ralli Marketing, and Jenny Jeffery, Director of Business Development & Operations at Ralli Marketing. Ralli Marketing is committed to the growth of their clients and not only focuses on marketing but business development. Jason, born and raised in Nova Scotia, combined his competitive spirit, love for entrepreneurship and pride for his province to fuel Ralli Marketing. Jenny, a former business owner of 10 years, joined the company last spring and brings her unique experience to business development operations.

Aligning Strategy with Client Goals

Ralli Marketing doesn’t simply view themselves as service providers, but as a part of their clients’ team, allowing them to align with their client’s unique goals. Ralli Marketing believes that the key to having a successful strategy is asking the right questions, actively listening and analyzing data to ensure alignment with client goals. Davis explained, “clients often will not say what they want. Not because they’re trying to deceive, but often because they can’t communicate in the way they want.” With Ralli’s guidance, clients get a better understanding of how to achieve their desired goals. In some cases, this means the creation of an unexpected strategy.

The Creation of the Ralli Project

The Ralli Project stemmed from Jason’s desire to create an impact in the business and entrepreneurial spaces. This initiative focuses on investing in business owners, encouraging individuals to create their own business, and improving entrepreneurs’ lives. Through the Ralli Project the company hopes to develop an ecosystem for entrepreneurs. With Ralli’s commitment to dedicating resources “even if [they] could help a handful of businesses, it’s still worth pursuing,” added Jason. The founder believes that the province has some of the best entrepreneurs, but does not want people to feel they need to leave the province to see growth in their business. The ecosystem created by the Ralli Project aims to expand the network of business owners within the province through funding.

Nova Scotia Business Development Fund

Under the Ralli Project, came the creation of the Nova Scotia Business Development Fund. The Nova Scotia Business Development Fund was inspired by the CDAP program and aims to help with challenges that entrepreneurs in the province face. The fund provides a $2500 grant to small to medium sized businesses. With Ralli’s aid, they are “going to give entrepreneurs that little bit of access to services in business development and marketing that could drastically help them to grow or scale their business,” Jenny explained. Through this fund, the company hopes to leave a positive impact on the industry.

Emerging Trends in Marketing & Business Development

When asked about where the company sees the marketing and business development industries are headed in the next 3 to 5 years, the duo agreed that it’s hard to predict the future. Instead of predicting where the industry will be, Ralli focuses on what they know will be true. Ralli believes that people will increasingly seek more customizable services, faster delivery, and enhanced value in the products and services they choose. Jenny added, “with AI in both content creation and analytics is going to change things drastically…it’s certainly going to change the landscape of our industry.”

Unlocking the Nova Scotia Entrepreneurial Spirit

A 2017 study conducted by the Mindset Project found that 70% of entrepreneurs in Nova Scotia do not recommend doing entrepreneurship in the province and 72% of entrepreneurs are not getting what they want out of their businesses. These startling statistics fuelled Ralli Marketing’s desire to make a change.I would just love to see people like proud to run a business in Nova Scotia, to have the resources to run a business in Nova Scotia,” Jason explained. Ralli’s goal of providing resources and support can help improve the province’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Ralli as More than a Marketing Agency

The entrepreneurial spirit runs deep as many of the team at Ralli Marketing have experience running their own businesses. So, when the team evaluates projects, they approach them from a business development standpoint, not solely from a marketing perspective. When the team looks at projects, they look at it from a business development perspective, not just a marketing perspective. As Jason put it, “we take a broad view of business development; we don’t limit ourselves to just marketing tactics.” He also believes that clients don’t perceive Ralli merely as a marketing agency, but instead measure its success by the growth and success of their own businesses.

New updates for Ralli Marketing

Launched in January 2025, the Nova Scotia Development Fund by Ralli selects two companies each month to receive $2500 grants. In celebration of International Women’s Day, the March recipients are women-owned businesses.
