Federal Subsidies Available to Hire Students this winter!

The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) invites applications to the WIL Digital student wage subsidy program for winter 2023. The program, funded by the Government of Canada, helps employers grow their business by hiring skilled post-secondary students to help them adopt digital technologies, enhance their online presence or in any other way that is relevant to the digital economy. WIL Digital provides:
- 70% of the eligible student’s salary, up to $7,000, if the student falls within a designated under-represented group
- 50% of the eligible student’s salary, up to $5,000 for other eligible students
Employers can hire students from full-time work terms to part-time positions of a few hours a week and the application process is quick and easy. For details about the program and application process see the program application guide or connect with ICTC’s Atlantic Regional Coordinator, Tim Perron.
