Digital Gaming Summit in New York City Accepting Applications


Global Affairs Canada is calling interested Video Gaming companies & partners from Atlantic Canada to submit applications for the first Digital Gaming Summit in New York City on November 29th(click here for details). Deadline to apply is Sept 21st, 2017 The Consulate General of Canada in New York, in partnership with Microsoft, invites Canadian gaming companies to apply for the Digital Gaming Summit in New York City, November 29th 2017 from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Microsoft’s Reactor office. Senior representatives from game publishers, technology providers, developers, and entertainment studios, are coming together to discuss the future of gaming and create business opportunities between New York’s gaming market and Canada’s world class gaming industry.6 Canadian Companies will get a chance to take part in dynamic panels, host intimate breakout sessions, and work with the Trade Commissioner Service to create meaningful connections in New York City and gain local knowledge of potential buyers. Our program will be tailored to the selected companies expertise. Due to the dynamic format of the half day summit, we already have CNN Digital, Disney, and Verizon confirmed to take part. Having a chance to take part in a tailored summit in front of world class potential buyers is a very rare opportunity. A program of this level/substance usually would cost $2500 per ticket based on New York rates. Program Elements
- Companies will participate in a program that highlights their strengths to a group 80+ curated professions from New York’s influential Digital Gaming and Media industry, receive pre-summit preparation and support, market intelligence overviews and introductions to various qualified contacts in the New York market.
- Companies are encouraged to use their participation of the Digital Gaming Summit as a hook to secure their own meetings with potential clients. They are strongly encouraged to visit NYC for a longer period of time to maximize this opportunity. Trade Commissioners will provide advice on how to best leverage their time in New York City.
