Our Story
ASBB Economics and Research Ltd was established by Mani, an economist with international training and a first-generation immigrant who is also a woman. After gaining experience at institutions like Deloitte, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, London School of Economics, and McGill, Mani settled in Port Maitland, NS. It was in Port-Maitland where she discovered a profound connection to nature, sparking thoughts on how rural communities, thriving in natural beauty, could also flourish economically through sustainable growth and employment. Recognizing the need for a research agency that could genuinely engage with and build trust within rural and remote communities, Mani set out to transfer essential knowledge from urban settings to rural areas. At ASBB Economics and Research Ltd, we place a strong emphasis on fostering trust and mutual respect in our interactions with communities. This approach ensures that our final outputs effectively meet the needs of rural and marginalized populations.
