Sr. Business Systems Analyst

About the role

As a Sr. Business Systems Analyst, you will make an impact by bridging the gap between business goals and technical execution through advanced data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and systems integration. You will be a valued member of the Healthcare Consulting & Data Strategy team and work collaboratively with project managers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant, and user-centric solutions.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead end-to-end implementation of enterprise data platforms, including Clinical Data Hubs and Claims Data Warehouses
  • Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements across healthcare domains (Medicare Advantage, Stop Loss, Claims, Membership)
  • Translate complex data needs into actionable specifications using SQL, Power BI, and data mapping techniques
  • Facilitate workshops, whiteboarding sessions, and stakeholder interviews to drive clarity and alignment
  • Support compliance efforts including HIPAA assessments, audit documentation, and risk mitigation strategies

What you need to have to be considered:

  • 10+ years of experience in Business Systems Analysis or Data Analytics, preferably in healthcare or insurance domains
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, data mapping, and requirements documentation
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional and offshore teams
  • Familiarity with healthcare data formats (FHIR, HL7, ICD-9/10, NCPDP) and regulatory frameworks (HIPAA)

These will help you stand out:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and PAHM certification
  • Experience with Power BI, Jira, and Mural for collaboration and reporting
  • Background in enterprise data strategy, audit readiness, and vendor evaluation
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in business or technology
