Software Development Team Lead
CapIntel is looking for a Software Development Team Lead to drive both technical and team success. In this role, you will serve as a technical expert and a people leader, ensuring that the development team is engaged, aligned with business objectives, and set up for long-term success. You’ll lead technical problem-solving, mentoring, onboarding, and performance management, all while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. What you’ll do
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, guiding the team through complex challenges.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment where developers can thrive.
- Drive technical decision-making, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and coaching sessions, supporting team growth and development.
- Contribute to code reviews, development planning, and process improvements.
- Align engineering efforts with business goals and product priorities.
- Work cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership teams to improve workflows, efficiency, and cross-functional alignment.
- Support onboarding and continuous learning, ensuring team members are set up for success.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact, solving challenges and mentoring developers.
Qualifications
- Experience in a technical leadership role, ideally leading a small development team.
- Several years of experience as a developer
- Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and modern web development frameworks.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide engineers, balancing technical execution with people management.
- Experience conducting code reviews, technical interviews, and performance evaluations.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with an ability to implement long-term solutions.
- Ability to collaborate across departments, aligning technical decisions with business goals.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus experience
- Experience working in fast-growing Software as a Service (SaaS) environment, where collaboration is key.
- Background in technical strategy, DevOps, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
