Senior Project Manager, GFT Halifax
Program Manager / Senior Project Manager will manage the execution of large initiatives within HR IT. The role involves planning, directing, and coordinating activities across cross-functional business and technology teams within and outside HR to ensure projects/program goals and objectives are accomplished within approved timeframe, scope and budget.
What will you do?
- Plan and full project lifecycle (initiation, definition, financials, resourcing, implementation)
- Work with HR Business/Technology Owners to ensure that the initiatives successfully deliver against desired business outcomes and enable value creation
- Help establish appropriate governance and oversight for assigned initiatives
- Develop integrated baseline project plans applying estimation models; refines & tracks plans including coordination of inter-work stream dependencies; manages performance against delivery plans
- Raise and track issues and conflicts, removes barriers, resolves project issues and escalates to immediate manager when required
- Manage project/program communications including status reports to executives, stakeholders, business units, vendors, project team
- Responsible for support & oversight of project and program delivery assurance and lead IT face off to RBC internal audit
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have;
- 7+ years Project /Program Management experience
- Possesses a strong knowledge of SDLC and 2+ years of experience with Agile delivery methodologies & tooling (JIRA, Confluence, Rally Central)
- Strong problem solving capabilities ; Strong structured, analytical and methodological thinking
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task across competing priorities
- Proficiency with MS Office (Project, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint)
Nice-to-have;
- RBC project/Program management experience
- Domain expertise in HR / Payroll
- PMP and/or PgMP certification
