Senior Healthcare Business Analyst (Halifax or Fredericton Based)

As a Senior Healthcare Business Analyst, you’ll bring a comprehensive set of skills, knowledge, and experience tailored to healthcare and consulting engagements. You’ll work with other Mara team members to lead and support our clients and partners in a wide range of challenging and exciting digital health transformation initiatives as they introduce new technologies and business solutions.

You’ll bring an understanding of the healthcare industry, including its unique challenges, regulations, and trends. You’ll have exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate and apply appropriate business analysis techniques clearly, in a way that adds value to our clients. As a self-starter who is detail-oriented and flexible, you will take on various types of projects based on the priorities of the firm and our clients. In all the work that you do, you will be encouraged to think creatively and resourcefully. As a complement to our existing team members, we are looking for that special person who is energetic and fun-loving, but serious about the work.

We’d like to hear from you if you bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent formal education in Business Administration, Public Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Service Design, or any relevant healthcare field (e.g. Health Informatics, Public Health, Nursing, Health Administration, etc.)
  • A minimum of 7 years relevant experience as a Business Analyst, with a significant portion of that experience focused on healthcare transformation initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience working with technical and business subject matter experts; eliciting requirements, issue identification and resolution, process definition activities, and problem solving.
  • Experience in delivering solutions and services following agile methodologies and delivering data-centric solutions and services.
  • Proven ability in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • An understanding of human-centred design and digital service delivery.
  • An understanding of security and privacy and their roles in shaping solutions and services.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills tailored to audience needs.

Assets:

  • Experience in the public sector outside of healthcare.
  • Professional certification (e.g. CAPIIBA) in business analysis.
  • Experience delivering cloud-based solutions and services.
