Senior GCP Cloud Engineer

In this role, you will

 

· Manage and optimize GCP services including GCE, GKE, IAM, GCS, and other commonly used components.

· Design, build, and troubleshoot Terraform deployment templates for cloud infrastructure.

· Develop and maintain Helm charts and Docker images for cloud-native applications.

· Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices including RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support SaaS platform deployments and partner integrations.

· Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using tools like Terraform and Deployment Manager.

· Manage VM images, OS configurations (Linux/Unix), and system-level optimizations.

 

What you’ll need to succeed (required skills)

 

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience with Terraform in cloud environments.

• 2–3 years of experience with Helm and Docker in production-grade deployments.

• Strong understanding of container orchestration using Kubernetes/GKE.

• Solid grasp of cloud security principles and Kubernetes security configurations.

• Experience with SaaS architectures and deployment models.

• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python).

 

What will help you stand out (preferred skills)

 

• Knowledge of performance tuning and cost optimization strategies for GCP.

• Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, infrastructure, and application layers.

• Google Cloud Certified – Professional Cloud Architect (preferred but not mandatory)
