To support our growth, we are searching for an experienced Senior Data Solutions Architect to join our team. As part of a growing and well-respected team, you’ll work with clients in the public, healthcare, and private sectors. You’ll collaborate with a seasoned team of professionals with backgrounds in project management, change management, service design, risk management and technology, and ‘lived’ experience, who have your back and value your contributions.
What We’re Looking For
As a Mara Senior Data Solutions Architect, you’ll bring a broad set of skills, knowledge and experience in IT solution and technical architecture with a focus on data-based solutions. You will work with our clients to prepare technology and data strategy and plans, and design and deliver digital services to support their current and evolving business needs.
You’ll have exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate and apply appropriate architecture frameworks and concepts clearly to the help our clients think through their most pressing challenges. As a self-starter who is detail-oriented and flexible, you will take on various types of projects based on the priorities of our clients. In all the work that you do, you will be encouraged to think creatively and resourcefully. As a complement to our existing team members, we are looking for that special person who is energetic and fun-loving, but passionate and serious about the work.
We’d like to hear from you if you bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or a combination of a two-year technical diploma and relevant experience.
- 10+ years’ experience architecting and implementing solutions involving data analytics, business intelligence and information management in large enterprise organizations, with preference given to those with public sector and / or healthcare project experience.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience as a Data Architect, preferably developing data driven solutions, architectures and models using cloud-based platforms such as Azure or AWS, and cloud-native services such as Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, etc.
- Experience preparing solution and technical data architectures and designs, including data lakes and data warehouses.
- Experience contributing to enterprise data architecture initiatives and programs that support business priorities and data roadmaps, including development of enterprise data architecture solutions and providing technical direction to clients.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams including data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to design and implement cloud-based data solutions.
- Experience in communicating technical / data concepts to non-technical audiences.
- A strong foundation of application, platform, infrastructure architecture and security best-practices.
- Experience designing and delivering cloud-based applications and services.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity.
- Strong verbal, written and visual communication skills that you can to tailor to the needs of the audience.
- Strong consultative skills, including facilitation, issue identification and resolution, and problem solving.
- Exemplary client service skills and ability to collaborate with people at all organizational levels.
Assets:
- Experience in the public and/or healthcare sectors
- Familiarity with healthcare standards such as HL7 / FHIR
- Microsoft Azure and / or Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications
- Data architecture and/or engineering certifications
