We are recruiting for a Marketing Co-ordinator to join our Accounting & Operations team, based at our Joseph Howe Head Office. This role will function to coordinate marketing activities for retail and B2B divisions. The successful candidate should have an intimate understanding of how marketing campaigns work with a proven ability to seamlessly convert ideas into images, layouts and other designs across different sectors.

We are looking for an individual who has a strong background working in collaborative environments. A willingness and ability to continuously learn new things and retain what has been learned is preferred. Experience in working with corporate design guides/ principles and designing with other professionals. Additionally, they are creative and strong communicator.

About the Job:

  • Own the Brand: A self-starter that can take the lead on ensuring our brand looks sharp and our message stays consistent across 23 retail locations from Yarmouth, NS, to Gander, NL.
  • Digital Storytelling: Manage our social media platforms. Finding the perfect balance between consumer retail excitement and B2B tech expertise.
  • Content Creator: Draft engaging copy for web and print that makes complex IT solutions feel accessible, helpful, and local.
  • Empower Our Stores: Act as the strategic partner for our retail managers, providing them with the signage, promotional materials, and local campaign support they need to shine.
  • Campaign Architect: Plan and execute seasonal promotions for the latest product launch, from the initial “big idea” to the final rollout.

Qualifications and requirements include

  • Currently participating in an integrated co-op undergraduate or graduate degree program or a recent graduate in Marketing or Public Relations.
  • Previous experiences are considered an asset:
  • Previously held a role in marketing or public relations.
  • Experience in planning and executing corporate events.
  • Knowledge of basic website updates and graphic file editing.
  • Experience in the Telecommunications Industry.
  • An understanding of the retail industry.
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365 apps (PowerPoint, etc), Google Ads, and Google Business platforms
  • Good working knowledge of common social media apps, along with adaptive creativity for social media posts, Meta for Business advertising and Google Ad content.
  • Ability to absorb and apply constructive criticism from peers and clients.
  • Legally able to work in Canada.
