Opportunity Overview

At Tribe Network, we are currently seeking an eager Marketing & Communications Intern to join our growing team and contribute to our success. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in current social media trends and work to help us take full advantage of social networking platforms to grow brand awareness, attract the right audience, and encourage engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Social Media Strategy

  • Maintain weekly/monthly content calendar, ensuring content is timely, relevant, and engaging
  • Partake in daily community management, social monitoring and listening to build Tribe’s online presence and identify new engagement opportunities
  • Ongoing ideation and content creation to support in the promotion of Tribe opportunities and initiatives
  • Ongoing channel research and trend identification to find new avenues to boost client engagement and brand awareness
  • Set up and manage paid media campaigns to amplify events, opportunities and initiatives
  • Collect data from marketing and social campaigns for monthly and quarterly reports
  • Schedule posts across all social networks using best practices
  • Support with the creation and distribution of content for Tribe’s blog, leveraging UX, SEO and CRO best practices

Communications & Email Marketing

  • Prepare and publish Tribe’s weekly newsletter and one-off newsletters
  • Monitor our marketing inbox, responding to requests and inquiries as they come in
  • Assist in the planning and writing of outreach campaigns to support the promotion of Tribe opportunities and initiatives

Event-Specific Support

  • Create and maintain Eventbrite pages
  • Capture content during events; keeping stories active
  • Sharing post-event recaps via social and the newsletter
  • Support marketing and program teams for online and live events
  • Available for evening and weekend programming as agreed

Qualifications & Experiences

  • Experience creating content for various social media platforms, including visual direction
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with using different social media apps and editing tools
  • Basic graphic design skills and proficiency in tools such as Canva or Procreate is a nice-to-have
  • Zoom hosting and Eventbrite setup are nice-to-haves
  • Pursuing a diploma/degree in Business is preferred but not essential

Work Term & Pay

  • $20-25/hour
  • Work Term: Fall 2025
  • Location: Halifax (Hybrid)
  • 20-35 hours weekly (Open to discussion)

Eligibility

  • Currently enrolled at Saint Mary’s University
  • Eligible to work off-campus
