Internal Solutions Architect

MOBIA is currently recruiting an Internal Solutions Architect to join our team Remotely. The MOBIA Internal SA is a junior-level generalist Technical Pre-Sales position that works closely with the MOBIA Internal Sales, Client SA and Specialist SA team members to assist our customers in their evaluation of MOBIA, our technologies and our Services. The Internal SA has a broad range of technical understanding, is proficient with online tools and has great attention to detail.
A successful Internal SA needs to possess a range of varied skills and experience in order to help our customers modernize their environments in these areas, including:
- Excellent Communication and Collaboration skills, the Internal SA works with a wide range of MOBIA roles as well as customers across the country and as such needs to be adept at building strong relationships in a remote capacity. They will need to communicate technical concepts to a wide range of audiences typically over remote conference applications.
- Datacentre technical expertise, the Internal SA needs to build a level of trust within MOBIA as well as with client organizations and as such needs to be able to demonstrate a breadth of knowledge in a wide range of data centre technologies including:

- Cybersecurity principles, technologies and practice.
- AI & ML Models and the infrastructure needed to support both training and inference
- A wide variety of storage technologies and capabilities (File, Object, Block, HPFS)
- Network Solutions including the latest Wifi technologies.
- Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Solutions, Principles and Practice.
- IaaS technologies, including virtualization, container technologies and Infrastructure automation.
- Cloud Service Provider capabilities and the options presented by the various cloud delivery technologies.
- Relationship Building, the Internal SA needs to quickly build a trusting relationship across the MOBIA Sales and SA Teams.
- Time & Priority Management, competing priorities are a feature of the role and the Internal SA needs to be able to balance and manage many competing priorities as well as balance multiple projects simultaneously.
- Sales acumen, an understanding of how sales progress and how to successfully engage in the sales process alongside a project team.
- Lifelong learner, the pace of change means the Internal SA needs to be constantly engaged in education, both through structured courses and ‘on the job’ training.
- Finally, the Internal SA needs to be a self-driven professional, passionate about how technology can change the world and curious about how to make it happen.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the technical response for low complexity opportunities, from initial discovery through to technical close.
- Engage appropriately with Client SA, Specialist SA, Internal Sales, External Sales and customers to define the best solution for the customer requirement.
- Appropriately hand over the technical solution information to MOBIA or partner delivery teams.
- Gain and maintain accreditations in technologies from MOBIA key technology partners.
- Build complex Bill of Materials using partner tools as well as assisting Client and Specialist SA team members with other project documentation as needed.
- Work with MOBIA Inside Sales to build quotes for customer requirements and assist with evaluating customer technical needs.
- Reporting on the technical ‘stage’ in the sales process.
- Although this is primarily an inside role, there may be a requirement for some regional, national and international travel at times.
- Other duties as required.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Post Secondary Degree in IT, Engineering or in Business Studies
- At least 2 years of experience working in a general technical IT Role (Delivery, Support, Architecture etc)
- Sales experience or Sales training desirable
- Experience with business collaboration tools (Teams, Slack) desirable.
- Experience with online configuration tools would be an advantage.
- IT Technical Accreditations in Cloud, AI, Cybersecurity, Automation and/or Datacentre Infrastructure.
