IBM DB2 LUW Administrator
We are seeking an experienced IBM DB2 LUW Administrator with experience in IBM DB2 LUW DB Admin! The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling and optimizing our database infrastructure ensuring high availability and performance. This hybrid role requires a deep understanding of database administration and the ability to work optimally in a multifaceted environment.
In this role, you will:
- Handle and maintain IBM DB2 LUW databases to ensure efficient performance and availability.
- Lead all aspects of database backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning to safeguard data integrity.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues to minimize downtime.
- Implement and supervise database security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Collaborate with development teams to craft and optimize database schemas and queries.
- Perform regular database performance tuning and optimization to improve system efficiency.
- Develop and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Perform routine audits and assessments to meet industry standards and guidelines.
- Monitor database health and proactively address potential issues before they impact operations.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical database systems.
What you’ll need to succeed (required skills):
- Must have 12 to 16 years of experience in IBM DB2 LUW DB Admin.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading and optimizing our database infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Lead database migration and upgrade projects to ensure magnificent transitions.

- Have good communication and partnership abilities.
- Knowledge/Hands-on Experience in HADR.
- Certifications Required – IBM Certified Database Administrator – DB2.
