Foundation is a remote B2B content marketing agency helping SaaS and Higher Ed clients grow through SEO, content, and strategic distribution. We work with ambitious global brands, and we’re scaling fast.

The Director of Strategy is a leadership role responsible for guiding client strategy and scaling the systems behind it. You’ll lead a team of strategists, own KPI delivery for key accounts, and partner with Account Managers to retain and grow our client base. This role blends client-facing strategic thinking with internal coaching, IP development, and revenue accountability.

Client & Revenue:

  • Lead strategic planning for 5–10 key accounts.
  • Deliver strategies tied to KPIs, funnel stages, and ROI.
  • Identify and scope upsell opportunities.
  • Support AMs in renewals and proposals.
  • Report on performance and expansion pipeline

Team & Systems:

  • Mentor and develop the Strategy team.
  • Improve frameworks, SOPs, and strategic toolsets.
  • Oversee hiring and onboarding of strategists.
  • Run trainings and contribute to Foundation Labs content.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Strategy Quality Score: 90%+ (internal + client)
  • Client KPI Achievement: ≥90% of accounts.
  • 5+ upsell opportunities scoped per quarter.
  • Annual Book of Business revenue growth.
  • Positive team feedback and performance reviews.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple clients and mentor a team

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years in B2B marketing strategy (agency, consulting, or fractional)
  • Strong track record of KPI-driven client outcomes.
  • Expertise in SEO, content marketing, and funnel strategy.
  • Experience mentoring team members and leading strategic projects.
  • Proficiency with tools like Ahrefs, GA, HubSpot, Databox.
  • Bonus: Reddit strategy, AI content tools, GEO frameworks.
  • Available to work Eastern or Atlantic time zone hours.

Position Details:

  • Full-time (Monday to Friday, ~40 hours/week)
  • Remote – Canadian employee or global contractor
