Position Description:

• Position demands experience with any Enterprise Content Management tool with a strong development background.
• Work as a professional IT consultant on a large long-term project for one of the big five North American Banking and Financial major.
• This is a Hybrid role with two days working out of any of the below offices
Halifax (NS), Moncton (NB), Fredericton (NB) or Charlottetown (PEI)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Ensure all aspects of the development life cycle specific to building/ integrating applications are followed while maintaining consistency.
• Work closely with Enterprise Architecture/Solution Architecture/Business Analysis and Project Management teams
• Provide support and guidance to other developers and framework users
• Design, develop and deploy on middleware. Optimize data base performance
• Customize solutions in Java leveraging technology framework and tools.
• Review code written by developers for coding standards, design compliance, adherence to architectural policies, etc.
• Provide expertise and support for development and implementation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must have experience with any Enterprise Content Management tool preferably CMOD – (Content Manager OnDemand)
• Development experience of at-least 6 years in Core Java including Object oriented concepts, inheritance, garbage collection, input / output streams, exception handling, collections, multithreading, JDBC etc. and working with IDEs like Eclipse, IntelliJ etc.
• Python knowledge (loops, arrays, classes, inheritance, file handling, database connectivity etc.).
• Experience with UNIX involving use of commands, file and directory search, file access permission, file transfer protocols, scheduling, knowledge of file systems etc.
• UNIX Shell scripting experience (loops, regular expressions, arrays, I/O redirections, functions, file handling, debugging etc.).
• Working Knowledge in RDBMS (Oracle, DB2) including writing SQL queries including DDL, DML command, joins and knowledge in views, triggers, stored procedures etc..
• Working experience in Job schedulers like Autosys and Application servers like WebSphere, JBoss.
• Experience in data migration, application / product upgrades, vendor software patches.
• Experience in Azure/ cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge in DevOps – Bitbucket/Nexus.
• Knowledge on load balancers, network concepts.
• Experience in monitoring tools (Tivoli, Splunk, Dynatrace, Reveille).
• ITIL Framework – Incident and Change Management, Problem Management process.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong documentation skills with attention to details.
• Knowledge in SDLC, PMLC (Agile and Waterfall). Experience with SAFe framework
• Banking Domain experience

Nice to Have:
• Knowledge of other Enterprise Content Management (ECM) applications such as OpenText, Kofax etc. is plus.
• Working experience in different programming languages (e.g. Shell scripting, Java Script)
