Camper Support Instructor
General Assistance
- Aid and engage camper(s) in activities and projects where necessary to enable active participation in camp programming.
- Maintain the general well-being and safety of camper(s) throughout the day.
- Ensure camper(s) are integrated into the programming by fostering relationships among camper(s) and their peers. Create a positive and inclusive environment for camper(s).
- Proactively collaborate with co-workers to enhance camper safety and well-being. Reporting
- Liaise with parents/guardians regarding their camper’s health and well-being.
- Liaise relevant authorities pertaining to camper safety and security. (E.g. campus security, first aid responders, public health office, etc.)
- Complete all necessary reporting and submit to the Executive Director in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Required: Current student or graduate of a post-secondary program in Early Childhood Education or related field. Must possess strong communication skills, time management skills and the ability to problem solve effectively, while making decisions independently. Experience working with youth. Completion of a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search.
