Business Systems Analyst (BSA)

Position Description:

Your future duties and responsibilities:

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, including data mapping, process flows, and use cases.
  • Develop deep understanding of application architecture, system interdependencies, payment flows, and configurations.
  • Analyze and manipulate large datasets while identifying process improvements and ensuring strong controls.
  • Act as a liaison and leader between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors at both project and program levels.
  • Contribute to project planning by reviewing requirements, data models, and documentation; support scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support system design, security, standards, and quality metrics while ensuring integration and reusability of solutions.
  • Lead testing activities, implementation, conversion strategies, and production readiness; conduct pre- and post-implementation reviews.
  • Provide user documentation, training, post-implementation support, and ensure business continuity and recovery plans.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly to leadership and escalate when necessary.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

  • Strong data analytical skills including SQL.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools (eg. Jaspersoft, Tableau) beneficial.
  • Self-starter with solid interpersonal skills – projecting a uniquely positive customer-service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work alone and with other members of a team. Must be a team player with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Create and maintain thorough, up-to-date, functional and technical systems documentation for projects, design, customization and maintenance actions taken
  • Ability to negotiate winning solutions for customers and projects.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple efforts simultaneously and adjust to changes in direction as needed to meet business objective; Make recommendations for system enhancements and changes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong presentation and communications skills.
  • Knowledge of project methodologies (SDLC, Agile).

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $55,000.00–$105,000.00. This role is an existing vacancy.
