Appian Developer
CGI is expanding and has a new position for an experienced Appian Developer to drive Business Process Management (BPM) initiatives using Appian’s cloud platform. This role combines technical expertise with team leadership to deliver enterprise-scale process automation solutions.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Lead the design and development of business processes using Appian’s complete toolkit, including SAIL interfaces, mobile solutions, and smart services
• Architect and develop custom plugins compatible with Appian Cloud environment
• Design and implement API integrations following SOA principles
• Analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Conduct feasibility studies and create solution designs for large, multi-functional projects
• Identify and resolve integration challenges and conflicting business requirements
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development team members
• Collaborate with Appian for cloud infrastructure monitoring and deployment management
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 7-9 years of Appian BPM development experience
• College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Current Appian Designer certification (required)
• Appian Lead Designer certification (preferred)
• Advanced proficiency in Appian development, including:
o SAIL interface design
o Mobile application development
o Smart services implementation
o Report development
o Cloud deployment management
• Strong experience with core technologies:
o Java/J2EE
o JavaScript
o XML/XSLT
o RESTful APIs
o Application servers (JBoss/WebSphere/WebLogic)
