AI Readiness Workshop

Join DeepSense on January 17th at 12:30 pm AT for the Ocean AI Workshop with Canada’s Ocean Supercluster. The Supercluster recently launched an AI Ocean 2024 call for proposals to invest in the development of commercial AI projects. Artificial intelligence (AI) has significant potential for profound impacts on the future, health, and prosperity of the world’s ocean. Every global opportunity in the blue economy will be influenced by the increasing use of AI in operational decision-making. AI adoption will be a key enabler of growth to the future ocean economy. This one-hour workshop is designed to provide potential project partners with support to address gaps ocean companies may have in developing AI solutions. During the session companies will have the opportunity to meet with the DeepSense team to explore possible support for their AI endeavors. Tech Wednesdays with NPower Canada

More than 80% of NPower Canada alumni secure employment or enroll in higher education within 6 months of graduating, with 30-40% already placed into jobs upon completing training. Graduates launch digital careers in roles such as Help Desk Agent, Data Analyst, QA / Tester and Business Systems Analyst with companies like TELUS, Accenture and CIBC. NPower Canada is a registered charity launching individuals 18 + (with no maximum age) into meaningful digital careers. NPower Canada's virtually-delivered programs provide participants with 15 weeks of no-cost, part-time tech skills training, including industry certifications, complemented by employability skills coaching and wraparound supports (including bus pass, interview clothing and laptops/WiFi based on financial need). Program participants are also connected directly with employers, job retention supports and five years of alumni services including continued education and mentorship. Candidates do not need any prior background in tech to apply. They must have completed their high school, Dogwood or GED, and be eligible to work in Canada.
