At this lightning-fast event, some of Atlantic Canada’s brightest minds will share groundbreaking research, disruptive technologies, and transformative ideas to change the world for the better. Featuring innovations that promise to eliminate plastic pollution, power farming with artificial intelligence, fight cancer-causing viruses, build better batteries and much more, Falling Walls is a barrage of brilliance and you’ve got a front-row seat. The victor of the night will compete in Berlin, Germany against winners from nearly 100 competitions around the globe at the world-renowned Falling Walls Science Summit. The first-ever Blue Hackathon will bring together Dalhousie undergraduates and graduates from all disciplines to dive deep into tackling real-world ocean-based energy problems. If you’re a current Dalhousie student, join us for an immersive hackathon on September 20th-21st on campus! New to hackathons? No worries. We won’t require you to build hardware or program code – but we will encourage creativity of all kinds! Through mentorship and collaboration, this hackathon is designed to equip you with the context, support, and resources needed to thrive in this competition. There are more than a dozen business student societies in Dalhousie’s Faculty of Management, and we are providing you with the opportunity to learn about all of them. At this virtual event, each student society will have three minutes to present their value proposition. Post-event, attendees will receive contact information for each society.
