Women Entrepreneurship Conference: She-Covery: The Role of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Pandemic Recovery

An official event of the Women Entrepreneurship Conference; a free, month-long event series, presented by the Women Entrepreneurship Knowledge Hub (WEKH) in partnership with Women Enterprise Organizations of Canada (WEOC). As Canada begins to focus on post-pandemic economic recovery, supporting women entrepreneurs is more critical than ever before. The research shows clearly that structural barriers long-faced by women entrepreneurs have been exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, an economic and health crisis that has affected women entrepreneurs more than men and has affected Indigenous, racialized and other diverse entrepreneurs most of all. In this session, we’ll discuss how the ecosystem is responding to support women entrepreneurs during this time. Register

A virtual women's leadership conference hosted by the Cape Breton Regional Chamber of Commerce, presented by the Scotiabank Women Initiative We are so excited to be hosting our first-ever Advantage Conference as a virtual experience* on Friday, February 26. Advantage 2021 is an opportunity to bring together a community of women to connect, learn, and grow together through covering topics and encouraging discussion around the important shift that is happening with women in the world of business and entrepreneurship. This conference will feature keynote speaker Barb Stegemann, the best-selling author of The 7 Virtues of a Philosopher Queen, a woman’s guide to living and leading in an illogical world, whose pitch led her to be the first woman from Atlantic Canada to land a venture-capital deal on the CBC TV show Dragons’ Den.
